April 2018

I’m a little behind this month but here they are at last, a round up of April in pictures.

Look at their faces! Mouths full of chocolate. The 1st of the month was Easter Sunday and these 3 certainly made the most of it.

Samuel loves his friend Declan. So much so he even knows the way from our house to his house (it’s not far).

We loved Cadbury World and so did these two. I thought Samuel would go crazy for all the chocolate but he only had a tiny little bit. His Daddy on the other hand!

Is there anything cuter than an ice-cream face.

Helping Great Grandad Sam to feed the birds. Samuel loves watching all the birds that come in to my grandparents garden.

Love this family selfie. We enjoyed a week of nice weather in April. It was bliss.

Our friend Ben took this picture of our boy when we were on holiday in Tattershall Lakes. The weather was awful all weekend. It didn’t stop us having a good time though.

That’s my April round up done. I know I say this every time but I honestly cannot believe how quick this year is going.

February 2018

Here is my February round up in pictures!

As always we have had some lovely days with Grandad and Henry. Here are the boys watching the ducks at Whisby.

We had a great day at The Deep. Samuel loved looking at all the different sea creatures.

We have had every type of weather this month and in all honesty I am ready for the warmer months so we can get outside a bit more.

A rare ladies day out. We made cocktails and drank far too much 😊

Our first visit to the library. Samuel and Henry both love books and we had lots of fun choosing some to take home. I didn’t realise what child friendly places libraries are now.

Here is Samuel and his cousin Max who he adores. Apparently Samuel didn’t want to let go of Max’s hand.

The last two days of February have been covered in snow and Samuel has had lots of fun playing in it. I particularly love this picture of Samuel and my Dad with the snowman they built.

So there we go. February seemed to go very quickly. Next month we have my birthday and a trip to Norfolk to look forward to.

January 2018

This is definitely going to be a more manageable post. My monthly round up in pictures.

On the 1st we visited Woolsthorpe Manor. Samuel loved running around the grounds and exploring somewhere new.

I don’t get to do bath time very often as it is Daddy time but when I do we have such fun. Samuel loves the bath and never wants to get out.

Samuel has got so confident on his scuttle bug this month. He loves riding around on it and we have even been on it outside.

I just think this picture is so funny. Look at that hat. It’s lee’s and it has my gloves inside it. Samuel wanted it on and then got all silly and started running around the garden.

A blurry Samuel having fun with his friend Declan. Samuel adores him and would follow him anywhere. It helps that Declan is just as daft as he is.

Trying to steal the big spade whilst Daddy is distracted. Samuel loves being outside and really wanted to help Daddy and Grandad fit a new fence.

Lunch at Great Nanna and Grandads. Samuel knows that’s his seat now and will try and climb up on to it when he is ready for his food.

January you have been long but we have had some lovely days. So much to look forward to this year.

Photos of the Week

Late again but here are my favourite photos/moments of the week. Actually as I am so late they are photos of the fortnight.

Give Samuel a wide open space and he will run around like crazy. He loves to be outside and is definitely at his happiest when he is.

When a trip to Pets at Home is as much fun as a day out. Samuel and Henry loved looking at the animals and fish.

You can’t tell from his face but Samuel loves his friend Evelyn and she adores him.

Autumn walk collecting leaves and feathers. Samuel loved picking things up and bringing them to me.

To Samuel you climb the wrong way up a slide then slide back down on your belly. If it makes him this happy who cares.

I will try and get more regular with my posts again.

Photos of the Week

I take a lot of photographs and I don’t like to bombard social media with all of them so there are lots of pics that I love but don’t share. That’s one of the reasons why I am really enjoying doing these blog posts.

Here are just a few of my favourite photographs/moments from the last week.

Last Saturday we went to Tattershall Farm Park with my side of the family. It was a lovely day. The sun was shining and I just love seeing how Samuel and his cousin Henry interact with each other. Look at them here holding hands and walking so nicely with Nanna.

Samuel and I went to play at Nanna and Grandads house which of course meant getting in the sandpit. Samuel got wet through and covered in sand so we gave him a bowl bath. He loved it obviously.

Samuel and Henry again. This time they are watching the cars go past and waving to them. Two peas in a pod!

Samuel had the best nap when we went to Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Monday. Thankfully he didn’t miss too many of the animals as he slept during lunch. I don’t get many sleeping photos now as he prefers the room to be dark or he sleeps in the car so I just had to take a pic.

The sand fiend. Seriously he is obsessed. I think I have said that before but it’s true. Give the boy a sandpit and he is happy.

Playing football with Nanna. Of course Nanna is still in her heels. She once walked up the Heights of Abraham in Matlock in her heels.

There we go my weekly round up. See you next week!

Photos of the week

Here are some of the things we have been up to this week.

Samuels first sink bath. I love this in black and white especially because my Grandparents caravan is like something from the 70’s. Samuel loved it. I’m sure he could have stayed in there all night.

Mr chatterbox at it again telling Evvy a right tale. She clearly has no idea what has got him so animated but she entertains him anyway.

This is me as a toddler. My mum sent it to me as she said she could see a bit of Samuel in it. Lee said it’s because I look like a boy. Umm!!

Cheeky boy! He is obsessed with climbing up slides. He then lays on his tummy and slides back down legs first. He is such a daredevil and I hope he keeps his adventurous side.

When you live somewhere for most of your life you forget what a lovely place it can be. We had a nice walk round the castle grounds and down by the river. I think the sunshine helps make everything seem lovely.

I’m actually really enjoying doing these posts as I love looking through photos.

Samuels 1st Birthday Party

Finally getting round to writing this. Samuels 1st party was such a lovely, relaxed day. We decided to have the party at my parents house as not only do they have a bigger garden they also have more space inside in case it rained. Thankfully it stayed dry and relatively warm.

We only had a small gathering, just really close friends and family. Both Lee and I have big families but we just stuck to inviting people with young children.

We set up outside with blankets, chairs, Samuels new slide, the playhouse and swing. We filled the paddling pool with plastic balls instead of water, as it wasn’t quite paddling pool weather, and set up the sand pit. So there was lots of things for the children to do.

My Mum and Dad decorated the garden with bunting as well as in the kitchen and we added a one script balloon and Samuels monthly photos. My Dad also got Samuel a very large Peppa Pig balloon which was a definite hit and still is.

We put on a small buffet of sandwiches, crisps, fruit and cakes. We got Samuel’s birthday cake from Marks and Spencer and topped it with a personalised dinosaur cake topper from Not on the High Street. It was a rainbow cake and tasted delicious.

All the children had a lovely time and were so well behaved. They went home with party bags filled with bouncy balls, stickers, a hand held foil balloon and one of those foam airplane/glider things. The babies had a bath book in theirs instead.

That evening a few of our close friends stayed and we enjoyed a Chinese takeaway to carry on the celebrations.
